On Sunday 24 January an Open Day was held at the Koppers. Friends and family of residents and staff, along with neighbours of the care home gathered for nibbles in the afternoon. People got to know each other and attendees highly appreciated the opportunity to meet and engage with the new Directors.
The Koppers Specialist Memory Care Home is now under the Directorship of two families namely Mr Martin and Mrs Carolyn Thomas and Dr Muzaffar and Mrs Sonya Malik.
All four Directors will have an active daily role in the management of The Koppers and we are at all times accessible to you to discuss any issues or suggestions you may have – we have an “Open Door” policy with Staff, Families and Friends and of course our Residents.
Over the coming months we plan on making improvements to the decor of The Koppers as we begin a refurbishment programme starting in the Front Lounge and the third floor of the building. At all times our total focus will be on the residents’ care and welfare – staff training will be ongoing and rigorous in accordance with CQC standards.
We look forward to giving you total peace of mind that delivering the very highest standards of care is the mainstay of our philosophy. We would like to sincerely thank all the staff during this hectic transitional period and express particular gratitude to our hard working and dedicated Manager Kelly Burwood-Beames.
